Meet the Raleigh Hills PTO

Jennifer is a parent to a 3rd grader at Raleigh Hills and a 6th grader at Whitford Middle School. This is her 7th year on the Raleigh Hills PTO Board! Her favorite thing about volunteering at Raleigh Hills is seeing the kids cheer for each other at the Lap-a-thon and teaching art literacy lessons. When she's not volunteering, Jennifer is a faculty librarian at Portland Community College and loves to spend time with her family and read (and talk about!) books.

Scott has a fourth grader at Raleigh Hills and has been part of the community since his son entered kindergarten. As a day job, Scott is a STEM education researcher currently working for the University of Notre Dame. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer, and learning new languages. Scott joined the Raleigh Hills PTO to give back to the community and help support a just and inclusive school for all students.

Chelsea is the parent of a 2nd grader at Raleigh Hills, and her 4 year old will enter Kindergarten next year. Outside of her role as a stay-at-home parent, she loves spending time outdoors and exploring the various attractions the Portland area offers with her husband and kids. 

Chelsea has extensive work experience in elementary schools, and serving on the PTO Board helps her stay connected to her passion for working with children

Krismin is a nonprofit leader and advocate for educational and economic equity, with over 15 years of experience expanding opportunities for underrepresented communities. She began her career as a third-grade teacher in Brooklyn before stepping into leadership roles focused on postsecondary success and economic mobility. Now based in Oregon, Krismin serves as Executive Director of The Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Oregon (PACCO), championing small businesses and entrepreneurs across the state. When she’s not working, she loves spending time with her family, cheering on her son at soccer games, and supporting the Raleigh Hills school community.

Josielyn is a mom to a fifth grader at Raleigh Hills and a stepmom to a kiddo in California. Their background is in technology and software development, and they enjoy finding ways to bring that experience into their involvement with the school community. As Volunteer Coordinator, she loves helping families find opportunities to get involved in ways that work for them. Outside of PTO, Josielyn enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, reading, getting outside, and usually having more projects going at once than she probably needs. She loves being part of the Raleigh Hills community and helping make school events welcoming, fun, and memorable for our kids and families.  

Lauren is a native-Nevadan who left the desert for cloudier skies and the four seasons Oregon has to offer. Her son Logan is in 1st grade and daughter Isla is in 3rd grade at Raleigh Hills. Lauren is excited to bring the Green Team to Raleigh Hills, a program for 4th and 5th graders to promote environmental awareness and sustainability within our school community.

Lauren has worked at Legacy Health as a sonographer for more than 10 years. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family, cheering on the Portland Timbers and talking about recycling.

AmberStarr is blessed to be the mother of a 5th grader and a 2nd grader at RHS, and her family has been part of the school community for almost six years. She is a stay-at-home mom, preschool substitute teacher, and holds a degree in Business from George Fox University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and learning about different communities and cultures. Her hope on the board is to help create a space where everyone feels safe, valued, and cared for.

Isaac is an award-winning actor, director, and educator with over 20 years of experience in the performing arts. Primarily interested in a multidisciplinary approach, he has created work at the intersection of music, movement, image and text for both stage and screen. Although he has worked regionally for years, Isaac is dedicated to making work in the performing arts scene of the Pacific Northwest where he makes his home with his wife, Amy, their twins, Hazel and Ezra, and two precocious cats. When he's not working, Isaac spends his time playing music, hiking and biking with his kids, rooting for the Portland Trail Blazers, and volunteering.

Erin is the proud mother of a 2nd grader and a Kindergartener, and is thrilled to be part of the Raleigh Hills community. Watching the staff and children interact with so much care and love brings her hope and joy for the future — and made her want to use her background in HR and communications to help more families experience that joy.

Erin works as the head of HR at a technology company called Marco Polo. In her free time she enjoys traveling, anything outdoors (especially in the sun!), and spending time with family and friends.
